Facial Lines or Wrinkles
Suggested Treatements:
Many individuals spent their early years out in the sun without the benefit of currently available sunscreens. Years of “baby oil and iodine,” and the desire for a “healthy tan” have produced high rates of skin cancer and prematurely aging skin. Cumulative exposure to the sun’s ultraviolet rays is responsible for most of the unwanted signs of aging skin. Clinical signs of photoaging include, sunspots, broken vessels, loss of elasticity, and fine lines and wrinkles.
As the aging process occurs, the skin looses its natural ability to “snap back,” and the fine lines and wrinkles become more apparent. These wrinkles first appear as expression lines when the face is in motion. With time, these lines and wrinkles are apparent even at rest. A variety of cosmetic treatments may help soften, and in some cases even temporarily eliminate these lines. These treatments include Botox, fillers such as collagen, Restylane and Radiesse, medium depth chemical peels and light glycolic peels.
